Kernel (uname -r):
Distribution:
MEPIS, Ubuntu, Gentoo
I've only tested this using System Rescue (based on Gentoo) and MEPIS live CDs.
The on-board ethernet isn't detected by recent distributions (Ubuntu 5.10 for example). Upset because there are only 3 PCI slots and one now has to be used for ethernet. I might try ndiswrapper and use the driver that comes with the motherboard.
System Rescue detected a module for the sound, so I assume it works (snd-intel8x0 I believe).
Great board for the price if you don't mind sacrificing $15 and a PCI slot to get online.

Kernel (uname -r):
2.6.15
Distribution:
debian
The on-board ethernet is recognized using the uli526x module. I don't think the on-board SATA2 controller (JMicron JMB360 is recognized at the moment though.

Kernel (uname -r):
2.6.13-15.7
Distribution:
SUSE 10 and openSUSE 10
Just works. SUSE recognized and loaded the onboard sound and network without trouble. I like the expansion options, too. I'm not sure I'll ever add another CPU (Athlon 64 3200+), but if I do, I'm sure I'll hate moving all those jumpers. :-P

Kernel (uname -r):
2.6.15-ARCH
Distribution:
Arch Linux, Mandriva 2006 x86_64 Powerpack, Knoppix, Elive, Damn Small Linux
Everything's good in this location.
- Integrated ethernet controller is included from kernel-2.6.14.x (i.e. works out of the box)
- It's very easy to tweak the Bios (the unofficial one*)
- It has up to 6 fully workin USB-2 ports, since one may easily connect 2 USB (as well as 1 Firewire & 3 audio) to it's tower front/side panels.
- Absolutelly stable, no matter I'm running folding 24 hours a day & put press with FSB @ 110%.
Haven't tried jmicron patch in 2.6.16 for intel, mentionned by sse007
Distribution: SuSE 9.1/9.2/9.3 Pro, OpenSuSE 10.0, 10.1, Currently 10.2 32&64 bit

Good, stable, cheap board.
8 of 10 because:
The southbridge overheats when using an AGP card, locking the game and crashing back to OS. So if you want this for gaming either use a PCI-Express vid card or put a fan on the SB heatsink. Ocworkbench.com has a thread on that, but removing the HS voids the warranty so be aware.
