Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3200 (2GHz, 1MB L2 Cache)
Mainboard: MSI K8Neo Platinum (Nvidia nForce 250GB)
RAM: 2x512MB Twinmos CL 2.5-3-3-8 PC3200 (Doublesided)
Graphicscard: Gainward FX5900XT 128MB
Harddisk: 2xSamsung SP1614C connected to SATA ports 3&4 (not to the onboard raid controller)

Linux on second harddisk (sdb)
Filesystem Reiserfs 3.6.8.2 for /boot, /(root)
hdparm -t /dev/sdb6 (root): 60.052 MB/s (average of 5x)
swap on first harddisk
hdparm -t /dev/sda6 (swap):38.128MB/s (average of 5x)

test:
kernel config file from suse (config-2.6.13-15.7-default)
compilation running in console (graphics desktop 1280x1024x16, desktop enviroment KDE-3.4.2)
time for compilation: 27min
