Description: The R707 is compatible with debian linux. You have to configure the camera to be seen as a hard drive. You do this on the camera itself. When you hotplug the camera, it creates a sdb1 partition. You mount this partition to a directory. It is the partition on the camera's flash memory card. Then you can use linux commands to manipulate the pictures. I always copy them to disk. I like working with a camera that is in the directory tree as a drive. You have to mount the partition within about a minute after you connect it or it will disconnect. Practically every HP camera will work this way in debian.
