-The "fake-modem" uses "smartlink-softmodem"
-The Wireless-device runs under the horrendous 'ndiswrapper'
-The radio-antenna-button does not create a keyboard-event (so I still have to figure a nice way to notice if it is pressed).
-On my previous installation (SuSE9.0) the card-reader-devices kept on creating (unnessesary) stderr-output (and events) while no card was plugged (went away as soon I plugged one). This did not occur on Ubuntu!
-Don't forget to install the nvidia-glx and nvidia-tv drivers (I did forget the latter one and 'wonder': no tv-out on the show-off-session!)
-My previous Laptop-Model 1704SM had the hdd attached to Ide-Secondary-Master (until I found that one...), so kernel-parameter "hda=ide-scsi" was a bit of a trouble.
One of the main disadvantages is the weight (7.2kg, locked and loaded)
On the other hand it accepts Desktop HDD's and Memory. (So I've got a 200GB Hd inside now...
It gets quite a bit warm and is also not really silent...
The Power-supply (500W) will get HOT (42C).
Battery is good for about 45 to 50 minutes while working.
Closing the lid will up the Battery-time to about 2:30h (for if jou only want to play music, or compile, or have a TV-set attached, or want to have it on anyways)
