This device easially prints over network via CUPS using he Photosmart 2600 driver. Scanning however appears to only work via a web interface with Moilla 1.7... simply http to the printers network address. Requires that popup blocking be turned off also. The scan is very fast though and a 4x6 photograph will be scanned to 1800x1200 in about 2 seconds.
Don't mention linux to tech support!!! When I mentioned linux to tech support they stopped servicing me... even though the problem was OS independent.

Easy install for the printing capacity. CUPS driver ships with RHEL4. Print quality is great, and control over the printer is very easy. Scanning very easy and intuitive via sane.
My only complaint is the difficulty in setting up the media access. I have no problem printing from a sony media stick (using printer capability), but unfortunately, I can't get pictures to transfer to my computer. Very upsetting.
