I bought this laptop from WalMart for around $500. I put a 512mb stick of ram in it as soon as I got home and installed SUSE 10. I had no problems with the install. The only thing that I have noticed so far is that the Fn key for the volume up & down does not work for the volume, the video card does not support 3D and the two keys next to the power button for internet launch and wireless hookup or disconnect do not work. I have not tried to get the 3D working because I don't really use it (not a gamer). The eithernet card works fine as well as the built in wireless with a Netgear router. DVD works fine after a pacman hookup and burning is smooth with K3B. Audio's fine, USB ports work fine. All in all it is a good machine for Linux. As far as support I don't have a clue, Balance barely has a website (looks like a kid made it). If there are any particular questions you may have before buying a Balance machine feel free to ask in the threads and I will do my best to help. If I have overlooked somthing major here let me know.
P.S. Looking forward to windows vista making Linux a safer place to be!
