This is a read-only ATAPI drive with a 256K buffer and can work in UDMA33 mode. It does read DVD-RW, but is not compatible with DVD R(W). Transfer rate 21600K/sec (DVD), 6000K/sec (CD). Access time 90mS (DVD), 85mS (CD). Power: 12V 1.3A, 5V 1.4A. Has headphone jack and volume control, emergency eject hole. There is no 2-pin SPDIF connector.
I installed Debian from DVD-RW using this drive.
