Description:

5 megapixel camera with 3.4x optical zoom (4.1x digital zoom), 2" LCD screen, movie recording at 320x240 pixels up to 60sec. in length, and xD media card format. Very small size (2.9 (W) x 2.5 (H) x 0.8 (D) inch) and weighs 5.3oz excluding battery.
Although no specific drivers exist for Linux, system will recognise it as a removeable USB drive without problems. Tested fine mounting manually and accessing via console, via file manager (konqueror) and via digikam. Within digikam, simply configure your camera on the correct USB device (usually /dev/sda1) and photos movies will happily download automatically.
Images appear very sharp indeed, although some reviews in pro photography magazines websites have criticised it's lack of true colours. I'm no pro-photographer, but the colours seem fine to me! It's essentially a point click camera - very quick start up time, easy viewing with large LCD screen, and good modes for panoramic, portrait, landscape, etc.
Cost around $230 online. In-store prices vary up to around $400 so shop online first!
