Would you recommend the product? yes | Price you paid? (in USD): $120.00 | Rating: 10

Kernel (uname -r): 2.4.20-30.9
Distribution: RedHat 9

Everything except sound worked "out of the box."

I was previously running on my system on an ABIT BL7 motherboard, with PCI sound and network cards (I had never gotten the built-in audio to work).

When I booted my system with the new motherboard, RedHat's anaconda found the built-in network adaptor and USB hubs (I haven't yet tested those fully). It failed to detect/set up the sound automatically, so I installed Intel's open-source drivers available from the intel.com link on this page. Note that I had to adjust the volume for various channels before I could hear ANY sound.

Although the 100GB Ethernet seemed to be working flawlessly, Intel's warning about it "appearing to work" worried me, so I installed Intel's NIC drivers as well and am using them now.
