This is AMD's low end 64 bit processor for the dying days of the socket
754 mother boards. Bought it on e-bay for $50, General retail starts
around $80.

It is newish so be sure to check compatability with your mobo and BIOS.

No install problems once I had the BIOS straight.

The retail box comes with fan and heat sink. The installation guide was
adequate for a newbie.

Coming from an AMD K6II, I am impressed with how the progams that used
to take forever to load now snap in place.

Recommended for general purpose computing. Extreme Computers, of course,
require extremer CPUs.
