The Epson Stylus CX1500v is a newcomer to the market (as of Sept 2005) and ink cartridges are still a special order item. This is a multifunction device that will print 4 colors (black/cyan/magenta/yellow) at up to 2880x720 dpi and scans at 600/1200 dpi. It also can be used as either a color or black and white photocopier without turning your computer on. As is the trend recently, this unit does not have a built-in fax.
There is no CUPS driver for the printer yet, but the one for the CX42 works well, producing a nice medium quality output. As of yet, the scanner is not officially recognized and will require some work to function.
