I'm quite a newbie, but had no problems before purchasing this mobo...! no way to install Mdk 10 nor Fedora core 1 - procedure freezes or reports fatal errors.
Problem not fixed with noapic nolapic linux boot.

It works quite fine with Mepis/Debian and SuSE 8.2, but still some freezin'....

Maybe it's bossible to overcome this with manual configuration....but too difficult for a newbie like me....

I'm guessing to find a different mobo.....

Kernel (uname -r):

The first MB wouldn't install with a stick of RAM in the third slot (ie 1 DDR pair). Replaced board (faulty) second board won't install with 1 pair of DDR RAM only with one. Therefore my 1Gb RAM is now 512Mb with a spare 512Mb.

Can't get Gigaraid (Promise PATA) or SATA going either. I will need to spend heaps of time working on this I think.

Can anyone suggest a better board to run RAID IDE (0+1 or 5) and hotswappable removeable SATA (for backup). I'd go and get a 3ware RAID card, but I still have the issue with being only able to use half the RAM!
