Description: This card works flawlessly using the latest nvidia driver downloaded from their official website. Tested on both xfree86 and xorg. If you use the 7174 version or older which is currently available on Debian Sarge/Etch deb repository, you will get a dark and low contrast screen. And also, the "nv" driver does not work with this card.

Worked right out of the box on my Ubuntu box. I recommend user upgrade to the Nvidia brand drivers for better performance and stability. I was able to play games such as Torcs and Unreal Tournament perfectly.

My experience has been good with all Nvidia cards I have used with linux. Definately recommend them over ATI.

Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.15 and up
Distribution: Ubuntu, Debian, Slackware, openSuSE, pretty much anything that can use the nvidia driver


Cheap and works beautifully with the nvidia driver.
