Description: The Nikon Coolpix is a great mid-range digital camera. It has a 3.2 Megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom, 3x digital zoom, 15 scene modes, and with a potential of 512 MB memory, with the right SD memory card (8MB internal memory)

The camera also has a 3x optical zoom, as well as the ability to digitally zoom in on pictures that youve already taken, cropping your pictures on-the-fly, without having to use a computer. It is set up to be able to print directly to some printers, without needing a computer interface also.

Overall, this camera is a great one. Not for professional photography (I don't think, but I'm going to try), but wonderful for other things.

Oh, and it takes great video too.

This product is fully-Linux Compatable as well, being recognized as essentially a USB removable hard drive.

All of the cameras belonging to the Nikon "Coolpix" line work great under any environment, including Linux. Very well supported. As for the actual features? Stills are beautiful and the video quality great for such a small camera.

Works perfectly, even better than in Windows, where I have to turn it on before I plug it in via USB!
