Product is very Linux-friendly, as the description states. Functions with OGG Vorbis and FLAC files, and there is an mencoder frontend available (written in Java) to convert videos on Linux for use on this device. There is not one function that I've required Windows for on this device.
Just be sure that you umount it before disconnecting, as I have a problem with it losing files I've added if I don't umount or 'Safely Remove' as KDE puts it.
