Description:
It works great using Digikam (KDE program for managing images) and gphoto2 (command line). You need libgphoto2 to connect to the camera (using PTP). If Digikam (or other program that uses libgphoto2) detects the camera but can't connect to it, check permissions for the current user (try running the program as root, it worked for me).

I couldn't mount it as a USB Mass Storage Device.

Works great with Google's Picassa (which uses gphoto2 of course). Auto-detected and everything.

It mounted as USB mass storage, but I couldn't get pictures that way.
