Description: I was upgrading my "slowbot" with a 300Mhz celeron to an Athlon 2200XP ...

This was a good, cheap board that worked with the SDRAM I had, and still allowed me to use DDR when I wanted to upgrade.

I've installed a few distros, but have stuck with Slackware.

Everything works!
Lm_Sensors even tells me temperatures for CPU, fan speeds, it's all pretty compatible.

Onboard AC'97 sound works very well with OSS but ALSA has not been cooperative.

Onboard Via-Rhine 10/100 NIC.

USB relatively stable -- some kernel configs hang the system at USB initialization, but the stock Slack Kernel works fine.

It has been very stable, easy to set up, and has a good system BIOS which allows for overclocking.

Updates:

New 2.6.x series kernel enables Alsa to work extremely well with the onboard VIA AC97 Codec sound card.

ACPI is functional enough to be able to power down the system, etc.

4x Agp slot works perfectly in tune with my ATI Radeon 9000 Pro with the latest drivers and using internel agpgart included within the fglrx driver from ATI's site.

I also have this motherboard. It works like a charm for a n00b like me.
Distro:
FC1 -> works fine (not my favorite distro)
Mandrake 9.1 -> works fine
Mandrake 10.0 CE -> Mandrake 10.1 Cooker -> works fine
