I checked the v4l lists, although this uses a supported chipset, the tuner is not yet supported. It is being worked on as of 10/8/2005, so I guess it won't work in 2.6.12 or anything earlier.

I hope to monitor the v4l list and update this page if they do get it going. No promises though :)

Hey,

After upgrading the kernel from 2.6.8 and trying out different software I managed to get Composite video input working.

The tv tuner doesnt work and I havn't tried the s-video input.

Composite input shows up as Television input in programs like camstream and xawtv.

Most software i tired didnt have the option to choose the input method. This is a problem because i wanted to capture frames from the camera without using xawtv or similar with vgrabbj

Current Debian kernel has this working for analogue (TvTime works fine) but not quite for DVB-T.

For DVB-T, have to modprobe the DVB driver and then scan and tzap from dvb-utils work. However, dvbstream then stops returning data after about 2M. I don't know if this is my PC, the driver or the aerial.
