Description: Works fine with the provided linux driver and proprietary software. I had difficulties adding a printer as it kept saying that "access denied" for my root password. I later realized that this was caused by the fact that the program wanted the cups root password for adding a printer, not the system root password; these are separate, atleast on SuSE. This problem was easily fixed by "lppasswd -a" as root. It would have been nice though if Samsung had mentioned this in the manual and saved me from hours of googling :)

The print is sharp, rich blacks. Installed in just 5 for 10 minutes on Sabayon/Gentoo using CUPS.
Works well. Seems it will be a fine value.

I don't now have time to try it on other distros but maybe this will help someone out there.
