Description: This mouse was automatically detected with all of my linux installs to date- RH 8, Mandrake 10.0 community and Slackware 10.0

It is smooth and responsive.

The one problem I have had was getting the wheel (scroller) to work with Slackware. To fix, I had to edit the etc/X11/xorg.conf, under the Core Pointer's InputDevice section
Code:
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2" Opition "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
The protocol was changed from PS/2.

Now links does not recognise the mouse well, but it is a small price to pay to get the scroller working.
Keywords: Wheel Mouse PS/2 Microsoft scroll scrolling ball
