Description: The D70s is the successor to the Nikon D70 SLR camera, the cameras are very similar, the D70s having a new flash metrering system that renders it incompatible with most separate flashes (both Nikon and 3rd party) but the results are much improved. This change is one of those onece every generation things. Apart from that the LCD screen is larger at 2 inches and the menus are a different colour.
The camera works fine with Digicam 0.6.2 under KDE 3.3.2 when designated as USB PTP camera. This status also needs to be set on the camera menu to work.
Keywords: Successor to Nikon D70
Connection Type: USB PTP

Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.20
Distribution: Arch Linux

Fresh out of the box, this camera needed no extra settings for KDE to pick it up. Just plug it in, and KDE 3.5.6 picks it up as an external removable hard drive. I was able to browse the folders on the memory card without any problem, and without DigiKam.
