This is an excellent ethernet card to use with Linux. It is easily recognized and the majority of the time will be picked up during the installation to configure with most of the major distributions.

Awesome used card, 3c59x.o out of the box since the early 2.2.x kernels.

Works very well with Fedora. But in some cases with Fedora you may have to disable Kudzu to get it to work.

I have four of these cards, so easy to get working, and has been supported since I've owned them. I use them everywhere from my desktop to my firewall to my dual processor server. Can't say enough good.

This is a solid NIC,
however, after it is detected, dmesg says:
eth0: Dropping NETIF_F_SG since no checksum feature.
I really don't know what this means, but the card is still working great!

Doesn't detect very well in Debian Sarge boot process. I have to manually bring it up after every boot, which is undesirable.
