Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.11-xen0-custom-build (2.6.11 with Xen patches)
Distribution: debian

Works without any third-party driver, I have not tried force feedback yet. I think you need kernel modules joydev and usbhid. device is /dev/input/js0. All the buttons and axes seem to work. Button 9 is a beam that detects wether there is something (a hand) in the joystick. This is intended to disable force feedback when nobody is holding the joystick.

This device has been discontinued by Microsoft.
