Nice, cheap, fast Gigabit card. Card was automaticaly recognized by FC2, and from CentOS 3.1 up. Linux driver source also included on the flopy that comes with the card.

Card works fine under WindowsXP, but not with Mandriva 2007. In fact, booting first under Windows brought up the link LED, when rebooting under Mandriva, link light goes OFF. All I get is link down from r8169 driver in dmesg...

Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.33.7-desktop-2mnb
Distribution: Mandriva 2010.1 Ubuntu 10.10

Detected fine right of the box in both Linux distros (64 bit) I've tried it with, as well as Win7 and Win Vista (both 64 bit). I use this card for my internet connection, and my router only supports 100 mb/s, so have not had the opportunity to test at 1000 mb/s yet. My onboard LAN, which uses the same chip, and is connected only to my internal network, works fine at gigabit speeds (900-950 mb/s using ttcp).
Inexpensive. ($10.95USD at Newegg)
