Description: AMD Socket 754 Motherboard aimed to appeal to the overclockers. Can accept Sempron 3100 (32bit) as well. Supports up to 3GB memory when using DDR333. Supports up to 2GB memory when using DDR400. Realtek ALC850 8CH audio CODEC (snd-intel8x0 Module). Marvell 88E1111 GbE PHY built in LAN (forcedeth module). Supports four SATA interfaces with speed up to 1.5Gbps (sata_nv).

First boot I used a Mepis 3.3.1 disk to test it out. Sound, Lan, SATA, USB - everything that I used worked. The driver disk even comes with Linux modules. I loaded it with a Sempron 3100 , 1GB of Crucial ram, 160gb Sata. All worked great. Good board so far.

If you decide to buy this board be sure to order the Gb and not the AL which is much inferior.
Price (Mar 2006) ~US$100 & a raving bargain! Runs beautifully with a Sempron 3000+, comparable with a 3GB Pentium IV Prescott on an ASUS P4S800-E but much cooler.

Works beautifully in gentoo. Unfortunately, I manually set the MAC address of the onboard NIC through the bios and that caused all onboard NIC activity to die, so now I have a full-featured mobo with a goofy pci lan card. Oh well.
