Description: The Intel QX3 / QX3 microscopes are really small webcam-style cameras sitting over a range of lens tubes that allow the use to view magnified images, usually at up to 200x magnification, with optional lighting from above or below.

In reality, Linux support is as simple as a built-in module for cpia-based webcams, with a special proc entry for controlling the lights.

No problems, works 100%. Operation of light is via /proc entries or control programs (see links below). /proc entries also allow tweaking of fps and other factors.

Drivers are built into kernel 2.5 and above and also available at the website:
