Description: 1900 XL-163 is an awesome laptop for linux... suse (9.2 and 3) run a little slow on it, but ubuntu (current release is 5.04) is perfect. this is an older laptop that can be found for around $100 (ebay)

i would highly recommend this laptop for anyone on a budget. it runs all the basic apps perfectly, and even some more complicated apps, like gimp, run with just a little slowdown.

All the hardware seems to be functioning fine under linux, not one problem yet.

on a last note, this laptop has a 12.1 in lcd screen and a P3 500 mhz
