Used the ndiswrapper with the driver on CD as suggested.
Couldn't get a reliable connection, keeps dropping out.
Also the reception is POOR, you want to be very close to wherever you want to communicate.
I'd recommend this one only to close distance with line of sight to wifi AP. The linux driver has just been rewritten for this one. By now I have sold this one so I can't try it out anymore, would be great if someone would review it who has tested it with the latest open source driver.
Cheers

This device worked right out of the box, no NDISWrappers needed.
Also, my router is several rooms away, and it works fine.

Works out of the box on Ubuntu.
Connection to WPA2 network is fine, but power management must be turned off, otherwise the connection degrades.
(The price I paid is in EUR, not USD)
