Description:
|
This is a VIA-based AMD socket 754 micro-ATX board with onboard video.
Tested and working: on-board LAN, IDE, audio, USB, temperature sensors
Not tested: on-board video (I heard 32-bit driver available, but 64-bit is not), SATA
Significant issues: reboot doesn't work in 2.6 series kernel (2.4 seems ok)
Other issues: lacks AMD Cool 'n' Quiet feature, no detectable fan or voltage, 2.6 kernel intermittent pause during boot (seems related to USB)

(Issues as noted in original posting of item.)
Reboot problem is due to i8042 hardware/driver issue. See http://lists.debian.org/debian-amd64/2005/05/msg00854.html for workarounds. A proper kernel fix is currently undergoing testing.
Another major issue: powernow-k8 driver fails after some time with "change-pending bit stuck" error. This renders the CPU throttling useless.
