Description: The Zire 72s is, imho, a fairly decent PDA. Has all the basic functionality and some neat bells and whistles here and there.

Pilot-Link worked without a hitch, JPilot also had no trouble. Gnome-Pilot had a difficult time finding the device, but I quickly gave up on it, and went to JPilot.

If you have an SD Card, CardExport2 is almost a must. It allows you to mount the SD card as though it is a USB Mass Storage device. VERY nice, and it allowed me to easliy add some jams for myself on the go.

Honestly, it worked without a hitch. The pilot-link software suite that came with my distribution worked right out of the box (I only had to change the symlink of /dev/pilot to USB rather than serial, and alter the permissions for a regular user). JPilot compiled/installed/ran flawlessly.

Highly recommended both based on connectivity with Linux, and being an all-around good PDA.
