Description: ATX Motherboard with via chipset. onboard sound Lan 4x USB 2 ( header for 2 more ).Up to 2 Gig DDR Ram. ATA 133 and Sata.

Have not tested Sata as only have ata133 drives. Everything else is recognised and configured by Mandrake 10.1 and Ubuntu 5.04

Mistakenly bought this mainboard a few days ago, because I confused it with another highly-rated one in this section.
Turns out it wasn't a bad choice at all. I hooked it up with two hard drives on IDE1, two DVD/CD drives on IDE2 and a network card and it all worked flawlessly out of the box. Slackware 10.2 (kernel 2.4.31) recognised the onboard sound card via alsaconf and the onboard network card without a hitch. Same goes for Knoppix 5.0.1 (kernel 2.6.x), of course. Good low budget mainboard.
The only downside is ASRock's crappy website which is loaded with bad Windows propaganda and worse English. There's also a warning that you shouldn't use a 3.3V AGP graphics card!
