Installer runs fine untill it says 'No partitinable media detected'. Meaning that it could not talk to the card.

Tried with the nightly build of the net installer. Tried to compile the drivers from adaptec sites against the debian kernel but didn't work either.

It claims to be compatible with RH and Suse though. Going to try CentOS next.

The CentOS installer cannot find the controller and fails. This is strange because the card should be RedHat compatible and CentOS is a direct copy of the RedHat enterprise series.

After a BIOS update the raid array was detected without a problem. Perfect!

So, aparently the incompability was due to a bug in the BIOS or something.
