Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.11-1.14_FC3
Distribution: Fedora Core 3

Bought this card originally for windows, about 4 months back. Moved over to linux again approximately 2 months back.

The card is a PNY branded Geforce FX 5500 with 128MB Ram.

Went to nvidia.com and downloaded the latest driver, which was NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7167-pkg1.run at the time.

No problems installing the drivers, although you will need kernel src to build the module.

Performance is excellent in Enemy Territory, Doom 3, Quake 3, UT (all versions). No crashes or lockups so far. Havent tested TV-Out so cant say whether that works or not under linux.

Overview:

I bought this card for gaming, and so far its been an excellent replacement for the geforce mx 440 i had before it. It gives me decent fps in all the games i play (and on a side note it didnt sweat so much when playing HL2 and CS on windows).
I've run it with FSAA at 4x and Anisotropic Filtering at 8x, with no slowdown in game. So it is definetly good for my gaming.
