I've had this printer for about 3 years so far, and its been great. Using cheep paper, I did get some paper jams, but if good paper is used, it has zero problems. Toner cartidges are a bit steep ($80 - $100) , but they last and last. I'm on my second toner - I broke the first one on accident fixing a paper jam (see above regarding paper quality.)

It is connected to my hub (home network) via rj-45. Typing its IP address (192.168.1.xxx), you can configure the printer via your web browser. This is a really nice feature, as its much easier then using the buttons and small screen on the printer.

I do not turn the printer off, it has a reliable powersave mode. Its only been turned off (unplugged) a few times during electrical storms. From standby mode to finished printing of 1 sheet, takes about 45 - 60 seconds (never timed it, but thats a good guess).

I found the easiest way to print to it accros the network is using cups via LPD/LPR. I use the HP laserjet generic or HP laserjet 4 printer driver which the printer emulates just fine.

I bought it used for $100 locally. What a bargin!
