Fairly compatible with Linux out of the box, though it's probably a good idea to re-partition it and format it to eg reiserfs, because it comes with alot of crap on it, and since it's preformatted for XP it doesn't handle permissions quite as good as it should, AND it's prone to data loss when formatted in NTFS and used on Linux. Otherwise a real good disc, fairly fast and stable. Just do "mount /dev/sdxx <where u want it>" to mount it.

Disk is preformatted for Windows, but fdisk+mke2fs fixed that.

Otherwise it works like a charm out-of-the-box (and looks good while doing so ;)
