It is *said* to be Linux compatible, BUT...

First, the Printer worked but in a unefficient way :

I did try all of the 3 drivers present no Mandriva DVD.

- Problem n.1 is that only first page will print, then i'd have to press the "Print" (green) button on the LaserJet 1010 for it to print additional pages.

- Problem n.2 : Sometimes it happens that the printer stops working and reports the error "Unsupported Personality: PCL". (see linuxprinting.org report below).

- Problem n.3 : LaserJet 1010 simply won't work any more after uninstalling / rebooting / reinstalling the driver !

Linuxprinting.org report :
> the new LaserJet 1010/1012 series seems not to be absolutely
> compatible with older HP printers or it has a firmware bug.

I'll try "pxlmono" driver & eventually update Kernel to 2.6.11-10mdk this afternoon at my client's desktop and report any improvment right here.

Worked perfectly on Ubuntu.
The printer settings that I can set in Linux are almost identical to the ones you can in Windows (resolution, paper tray, econo-mode etc.).
