Well this chipset is set in various softmodems, have good performance under Windows and Linux.

As everybody knows make work a Softmodem in Linux is a little hard but this ones is really easy, just present a problem in the driver, randomly freeze you computer sometimes happend 2 or 3 houres after connected to internet and sometimes 20 minutes after; i try to check the source.

The drives [old ones] can be found in the intel website.

The up to date are in http://vouters.dyndns.org:8080/Intel/, a HP guy that continuing with the development of drivers fro this chipset, i test in kernels < 2.6.25 and works perfect.
