Description:	Nice and cheap all-in-one from HP. I missed slide-scanning, but's alright... The thing has a terrible software for windows: slow, ugly, bloated and unfriendly. To be able to use it under linux was a lovely surprise. Installed in Debian sarge with minimal effort: hpoj (hpoj.sourceforge.net), sane, xsane and their dependencies. Also, the foomatic-hpijs (is that the name?) driver. Once you apt-getted everything, go to cups, the printer will be listed there. Add it and that's it. Really easy. Xsane and/or kooka (kde) to scan. To OCR you need other packages: gocr or ocrad. gocr is apt-getable, but not ocrad. http://www.gnu.org/software/ocrad/ocrad.html

Cheap All-in-one, perfect for home users. On Debian, just apt-get cups, hplip, hpijs and foomatic filters, add your printer and you and you are all set. For scanning only hplip and sane are requierd AFAR. Only error (not to do with scanning) is that black cartridge has a little incorrect margins... Color one is all right though.
