Description:

The iRiver iH340 is an MP3 player that you only dream of, OGG support 100%, mp3 suport (obviously) and a couple other formats (wmv, the usual stuff). The h340 has a 40 gigabyte capascity and mounts as an external hard drive making it work on all platforms, including linux. I had trouble at first getting it work on my machine, making sure you have SCSI emulation (under ata options) and having it on data mode and switching between USB hub and USB desktop mounting mode makes getting this device configured for first time people a bit confusing.
As a player it's the best, better than the ipod. It has as previously stated, a 40 gig internal hard drive, boasts a 16 hour battery life (I think it meets that boast), and exceptional sound quality with a built in EQ. It also has line in and line out ports and a slew of optional hardware you can purchase. (remote, mic..)
It also works like the ipod photo and displays pictures on its full color screen. It has built in recording functioins and an internal FM tuner (the reception isn't excellent).
