Describes itself as a mulit-codec jukebox. Plays mp3, ogg vorbis, wma and asf files (I've only tested ogg and mp3).
Has a colour screen, a 20GB hard drive, FM tuner and is flash upgradeable.
Comes with accessories such as headphones, wired remote control, backpack allowing use of 4 AA batteries as well as built in Li-Poly battery.
It can record from the radio, internal mic, external mic and line in. It seems to do this as mp3 files.
Also works as USB host allowing you to load it with files from other USB storage devices without the need of a computer.
It shows up under Linux as a USB mass storage device, so mounts just like any other device allowing direct copying of files to the HDD.
This makes it easier to use than my old Diamond RIO 500 mp3 player, and as it plays ogg natively I don't have to convert any more.
That's why I bought it.
I can browse the music files by filename and play a file, a directory or all (shuffle optional). In order to browse by Artist, Album etc you need to build a small database on the device and the device can't do that for itself. It came with a windows program to do this, and there is a Linux one. Make failed when I tried the Linux one and I'm too clueless to figure out why right now. I got a friend to run the windows software for me only to discover that the windows program couldn't read the tags from my ogg files anyway.

I haven't got the USB host feature to work with either my camera or the SD card reader. The camera won't operate as a USB mass storage device, and others have got card readers to work so I haven't given up hope yet.
All in I like it. I just hope in 5 years time I can buy one half the physical size.......
