Generally everything worked fine with a few exceptions:
Ubuntu Hoary doesn't like the Davicom based onboard ethernet
Accessing the soundcard for more than stereo doesn't seem to be
a transparent process. I couldn't really find any support for more than 2 channel sound, but if you care about that thing, you're better off buying a soundblaster and making the leap to 24bit sound.
The bios allows selection between how the 2 sata and 2 ide channels are allowed to interact. (IDE only, Primary IDE/Secondary SATA, Primary Sata/Secondary IDE, Sata only and the vague "IDE +SATA" mode) when running a dual-boot system this can create problems in determining which drive holds the mbr for the bootloader to be installed on. Furthermore, making linux and windows cooperate with these hard drive settings can be tricky as windows goes all wierd if it isn't allowed on what grub would recognize as hd0
