Turn the camera on, plug it in. The hotplug utilities detected the camera and I was asked to pull the images from the camera onto the disk.
The only real functionality missing between this and the windows software, is that I was unable to find a way to set custom fields on the camera, such as "Owner".
Not really a big deal as this can be set in post with a good exif editor.
