Description: This soundcard worked out of the box with Fedora Core 3 wonderfully. The only problem that is noticeable is when you recompile your kernel. For some reason the sound is muted whenever you get back into graphical mode in a new kernel build.

All you need to do is unmute and adjust the volume and it works fine.

Most ASUS mobo's have this VIA onboard sound card installed, so this probably applies to more than one ASUS mobo.

Hi,

I have got an ASUS notebook with this sound driver. As of now its not working for me.

I am wondering why the linux is showing Intel audio controller when I do "lspci".

Please let me know how can I unmute various channels?

I tried to unmute from all possible GUI options.
