Description: This soundcard worked out of the box with Fedora Core 3 wonderfully. The only problem that is noticeable is when you recompile your kernel. For some reason the sound is muted whenever you get back into graphical mode in a new kernel build.

All you need to do is unmute and adjust the volume and it works fine.

Most ASUS mobo's have this VIA onboard sound card installed, so this probably applies to more than one ASUS mobo.
