Kernel (uname -r):
Distribution: Fedora Core 3

It worked with Fedora Core 3 during installation, but I cannot speak to the reliability of the drive because mine was broken when I tried it. I used it for about a day with Fedora and it worked fine. If I had a brand new one, I would use it with Fedora, although, I personally would not use Fedora by choice anyway.

I am uncertain that SuSE can automatically detect and use the disc.
