Description: This looks like a pretty standard USB mouse that I bought at a local computer store for about $10.00 CDN. When plugged into a USB slot, the scroll wheel immediately lights up blue, and the underside of the mouse lights up red. Theres also red light where your palm sits. Black top, silver sides, overall a decent mouse with no real special features. I got this mouse for my laptop, I get sick of using the touchpad all the time. I'm running Slackware 10.0 with a 2.6.10 kernel and various modifications.

It worked by default in X, and hot-swapping it works fine. The scroll-wheel didn't work by default and I had to make very minor changes to my xorg.conf file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf in Slack). Its immediately picked up when I plug it in, and I can use my touchpad or mouse at the same time. Heres the relevant section of my xorg.conf file:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "ImPS/2"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"

Keywords: USB Scroll 2-Button Standard
Connection Type: USB
