Onboard AC'97 sound was very difficult otherwise faultless performance. The kernel does not support the VIA KT333 chipset however it does not seem to affect the overall performance of the system.

I've had this motherboard for a couple of years with Win2k on it. I finally made the switch to Linux a couple of weeks ago, and I also had problems with the sound. As it turns out, it just needed to be enabled in the config file as Sound->ALSA->PCI Devices->VIA 82C686A/B, 8233 South Bridge. After I did that and recompiled the kernel, the sound worked perfectly. I haven't had any problems with anything else related to the motherboard.
