Only has a Broadcom 54G Wireless Chipset. Thus necessitates use of NDISWRAPPER to drive. Several good links googleable for installation.
All other hardware recognizes fine.
Tested with Debian-Woody/Sarge/Sid, Knoppix, Morphix, Ubuntu with great success.
Light and thin! Fantastic "LAPTOP". Heats up like crazy though so you'll want some thermal insulation for extended use.
Screen is bright and clear albeit limiting at just 1024x768.
Power Consumption is average. Fan can be noisy at times too. Avg battery life with active use is around 3hrs.
Works with several 3rd party power adapters without problem (Targus, Belkin)
Keyboard is fine. Inverted T cursors and Fn'd Home/End/PgUp/PgDn can be a bit of a pain but workable.
Port placement is atrocious. USB ports too close an inconveniently placed for close quarters peripheral use. 3 USB ports on Front RHS.
All in all still quite recommendable and very functional. Especially for prices recently seen...

Wifi works fine with the open source rt2x00 drivers.
The only problem is there is no driver for the video card with 3d acceleration without compiling DRI support.

The price is for a refurbished AV3250H1. This laptop contains the Ralink wireless for which the Linux RT2500 driver works well and the SmartLink modem which also has a Linux driver.
I found problems with Mandriva LE2005 (10.2). Kernel 2.6.11-6mdk would crash because of IRQ11 problems. I was unable to solve this issue.
Changing to Mandriva 10.1 resulted in total compatibility with both 2.6.8-12mdk and 2.6.8-25mdk.
Unichrome DRI works but must be compiled for 2.6.8. Not sure if it would have worked out of the box with 2.6.11 as it did on my desktop machine running Mandriva 10.2.
I like the laptop and recommend it.
