In SuSE 9.1, I literally just pluged it into a usb2.0 port and it came up as an external device. I didn't know this would work in Linux, so I was pleasantly surprised. Note: 1.7.05 firmware (latest as of today) It even supports XVID so there's no need to deal with non OSS software (though no OGG)
