Forget using the Easy-note buttons, they won't work and the laptop hangs on shutdown, but causes no other problems than that and the Power button solves that one.
Be careful if you wish to keep Windows partitions as you wont be able to retrieve the MBR,(Fedora Core 1 & 2)also no floppy Obviously! or Packard Bell support as installing Linux invalidates warrenty..
Fedora core all flavours both installs and runs beautifully,
MDK10 had a few problems with the Network card.
SuSe was great and only encoutered problems when powering down during the force acpi stages.
All in all a robust Laptop and an even more robust O/S works well together. Just remember to peel off those disgusting Microsoft XP stickers and replace with a more eye catching Linux Flavour sticker..
